 1ere partie Elbow Minimize

Elbow est un groupe anglais avec une belle carrière puisque The Seldom Seen Kid est déjà leur 4e album.

Celui de la consécration puisqu'ils ont gagné le Mercury Prize, la plus prestigieuse récompense de l'industrie musicale anglaise, devançant (et de très loin aux dire des votants) Radiohead, The Last Shadow Puppets ou Adele.

Si le groupe est installé en Angleterre, et même starifié depuis cette récente victoire, il est encore largement inconnu en France.

The Seldom Seen Kid devrait marquer un changement.

C'est une oeuvre complète et riche, aux arrangements ciselés,  aux chansons entêtantes, porté par la voix de Guy Garvey - sorte de Peter Gabriel,  époque Genesis. “The Seldom Seen Kid”, c'est un vrai voyage, un album entier, au sonorités soyeuses, à l'univers onirique.

Ecoutez  "The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver", "Starling", "An audience with the Pope" ou “Ground for divorce”

The Seldom Seen Kid s'est vendu à plus de 600 000 copies dans le monde depuis sa sortie.

Elbow a joué devant 100 000 personnes à Glastonbury (www.the-hours.com/mediasystem) et jouera au Wembley Stadium en 1ere partie de U2 fin aout avant de supporter la tournée européenne de Coldplay cet été.

Sortie de l’album le 6 avril. En Concert le 17 avril au Bataclan pour le Festival The Hours.
